Stojanovski Why haiku ?
Magical moments for “artistic spirits” are the moments of creation. It’s a value time spent in attempt to express one selves through any artistic skill. One of them for me is – haiku. There somewhere I can said – haiku is painting with words, sketching the moments of the life that never return...Although, in truth, we remember the paints – the words already tomorrow change one’s own row – particularly if we need to translate them. So, me too, as many poets who write on”small languages”, have a problem with this. When I translate my haiku, I fall in the noose”to write quite” new haiku – and it’s a pity. In so short form is extraordinary difficult to express event, to note down pure haiku moment in foreign language. But, I try…I seek… Perhaps it’s a reason for my laziness, and I often feel shame: I’m endless in late! Maybe it’s on opportunity to apologize to my foreign friends, (especially to you, dear Serge!), and thank to them for understand me! All in all, writing haiku is great pleasure. Share it with the friends is best part of that. Thanks to haiku I ”met” beautiful pals among them and I ennobled my spirit with magic world of feeling, so rare in everyday life…Thanks to haiku I rambled through sublime spirit of poetry!
