Njišu se ruže.
U mirisu podrhtava
nečujni kukac.

Roses are swaying.
A voiceless insect trembles
in the fragrance.

Prohladni vjetar.
Na bistrou vrti se
reklama za caj.

Cool wind.
On the barroom
a tea poster rotates.

Popodnevni mir.
Kljucala voda upija
miris kamilice.

Afternoon stillness.
The boiled water absorbs
the scent of chamomile.

Ohladjen čaj
puter, pekmez i tost -
zaspalo dete.

Cold tea
butter, jam and toast -
asleep child.

Uvela ruža
i neotvoreno pismo
u letnjoj bašti.

Withered rose
and an unopened letter
in the summer garden.

Bele pahulje
išarale dvorište -
dečja radost.

White snowflakes
decorated the yard -
the joy of children.

Letnja oluja -
nit paučine
čvrsto nad cvetom.

Summer storm -
a thread from the cobweb
stretched over the flower.

(WHC Portfolio, 2002)

Visoki morski talas.
Usamljen čovek napušta
usamljenu stenu.

High sea wave.
A lonely man leaving
a lonely rock.

(Honorable Mention, Suruga Baika Fest, 2002)

Niz stepenice
uplašena sopstvenom senkom -
zimska noć.

Down the stairs
frightened by my own shadow -
winter night.
