Cvet u vazi.
Zalud ga obleće
pčela

Flower in the vase.
One bee is flying around
in vain.

Gnezdo grlice
na požuteloj grani -
jesenje jutro

Thurtledove's nest
on yellow branch -
late autumn morning

Proljetno sunce.
Pod plavim nebom bijéle se
procvale višnje.

The spring Sun.
Blossoming cherries whiten
below blue firmament.

Pužev se roščić
- dotaknuvši vlat trave -
blago svinuo.

Snail´s tentacle
- having touched a blade of grass -
bent gently.

Lagašan vjetrić -
dovoljno jak da ugasi
zuj komaraca.

A gentle breeze -
strong enough to extinguish
mosquito's buzzing

Slavuj - pjesmom je
još i prije svanuća
razbistrio mrak.

The nightingale -
singing before the dawn
lit up the darkness.

Duboka noć.
U susjedovom stanu
plač dojenčeta.

Deep night.
In the neighbour´s apartment
an infant's cry

Kraj panja zrije
stručak jagoda; neću,
neću ih brati.

Ripening by a tree stump
a bunch of strawberries; I won´t,
I won't pick them up.

Vetar donese
na terasu žuti list.
Jesenja igra.

Wind brings one yellow leaf
to my terrace.
Autumn game.

Vrti se kuče,
hoće da uhvati rep.
Aprilsko sunce.

A little dog
runs around - wants to catch
its own trail.

Pada prvi sneg.
Na terasu doleti
i poneki list.

First snow fall.
From time to time to terrace
comes some leaf too.
