It tells about simple things, with simple words, in a simple style.
The most effective way is to present images.
Generally, there are two or three images, but there are also haiku with only one image.
In the classical haiku, there are normally no methaphors. We can however, now find metaphors in avant-garde author's. The role of images in haiku is not to be underestimated.
Images are presented one by one, separated with a pivot-word.
They
can be :
